Kind of an old idea. I thought I wrote this one down, but apparantly did not.

It's just a sweet, fluffy high-school shojo romance. The main characters used to be good friends, but have drifted apart. They still consider each other to be friends, but they aren't really close anymore. The boy turns 17 and gets his driver's license and keeps an old promise t drive the girl to school. The friendship rekindles into romance, and various ups and downs occur.

There are sub-plots involving the romances of their friends. I especially like the romance that develops between the main character's best friends.

Probability: medium. It's cute, but not very orginal.

I've been thinking about about villains who turn good a lot lately, so today's idea is about a member of a Cobra-like organization. (Is Cobra supposed to be ALL CAPS or not...? The good guys are a team of Sailor Moon/Power Rangers-esque transforming heroes.

Villain has a few chance encounters with a cute girl. They are attracted to one another, but she is scared of him and the organization he is part of. He decides to quit to be with her. Note that he's not reforming, he's just giving up being a baddie. Later on he truly tries to reform and join the heroes.

I like the idea and the characters. Both villain and girl have more depth than I first imagined. I even did concept art of the pair.

Probability: Moderate.

And 24 Hour Comic time again too. 24 Hour Comic day was actually on Saturday, but I'll be attempting one on Thursday. Just for fun. :)

Anyway, today's idea is actually an OLD idea. It predates the idea of The Reborn by a few months. Two of the characters were actually going to appear in early versions of The Reborn, but those story-lines didn't make the cut.

I'd been reading summaries of anime, and noticed how many starred ordinary schoolboys/girls who had something extradinary happen to them. I thought, what if you did the opposite? A group of young gods played a prank on some mortals and as punishment were made to live as humans for two years and attend a human highschool. This was supposed to teach sympathy or something. One of the gods mothers went around her husband's back and gave the young gods some of their powers back. Their powers were very limited, but they weren't fully mortal. Hijinks ensue!

Actually, that wasn't the title I wanted, but I can't think of the real one. Hrm.

Anyway, plottage:
A young girl is nearly killed while hiking. As she lays dying in the mud, a magical being approaches her with a deal. He will heal her, but on the condition that she not kiss anyone or anything (or BE kissed) for the rest of her life. If she does kiss someone, even a peck on the cheek, even her own mom, she will die. Instantly. If this happens, not only will she die, but she will also belong to the magic guy forever. BUT! If she dies without ever kissing anyone, she can go on the afterlife.

There are two ways I'm thinking this can go: a drama and a comedy.

In the drama, the girl is much younger when she has her accident, about 8, and the comic picks up several years later, when she is a teenager. She has managed to avoid kissing anyone, but she is actually the school slut.

In the comedy version, the contract is made when the girl is 13 or 14. She gets home and is kissed by her dog. She dies. Magic guy is annoyed.

I like the comedy version more. >:D

Geez, I haven't updated in two months? I kinda forgot about this journal, plus I haven't had many ideas lately.

Today's wacky idea is called After the End. One day, there are a bunch of explosions, the whole world is ruined. What caused this is never known, but the survivors are too busy trying to live in the new world to really care.

One survivor is a 15 year old girl named June, who is taken in by a large group of people. Though most of them are strangers to June, they are (at least at first) all connected since they all know Ms. *insert name here*. Ms No-name was June's teacher back in elementary school and also taught two other members of the group: Mr. T--- (not that Mr. T ¬_¬) and a little girl. The girl's father is the last member of the early group.

Mr. T is 27; he and the father protect the women and the group grows larger as girls and women learn this is a safe place. Most of the group will be girls and women, though a few men join, mostly fathers or gay men.

Despite the age difference Mr T and June develop romantic feelings for one another.

Probablity: moderate to high; sounds fun, but not something I can do any time soon. I'd better be more careful with 24 Hour Comic Day fast approaching.

Anyhoo, this idea is an old one. It came to me about three years ago, but I never did anything with it. It's too long for 24 Hour Comic day, though.

The comic is set in a world where Ghosts and Monsters are normal and common. There are two guilds set up, and members of the guilds hunt the Ghosts and Monsters. Though pretty much anyone can (in theory) join the Monster Guild, seeing Ghosts is a fairly rare ability, so the Ghost Guild is more exclusive.

One day, a Ghost Guild member (a "Breaker") meets a girl who can see Ghosts. He decides to forcibly bind her to him with magic (basically, kidnapping her) and see if she doesn't have what it takes to join the Guild.

The story revolves around the girl's efforts to join the guild and also a budding romance (because I love romance!)

Probablity: Moderate to high

Not a modern prince, but like a prince prince...a fairytale prince.
There's been a lot of discussion in the Smackjeeves forums about shonen-ai, and some of the points mentioned in the latest thread began to assemble into something resembling a plot.

The main character would be a very religious young man (late teens to early twenties). He believes that homosexuals are evil and go to Hell, but he himself is gay. Prior to the start of the comic he struggled with his attraction to other men, and ultimatly decides that he cannot stop being gay, so he decides to lead a life of celibacy.

At some point he ends up having sex with another man. He now believes he will go to Hell for his sin.

This is the point at which the comic falls apart. Why does Religious Gay Guy (RGG) have sex with another man? It can't be rape, because that wouldn't be a sin. Getting him mildly drunk might work.

The aftermath is where it gets real murky. I see it going two ways:

1-RGG figures he's already going to Hell, so he might as well be hanged for a sheep as for a lamb. He leads a life of sin, ends up killing himself and only afterwords learns (from God?) that homosexuality is not a sin, and he might have been forgiven for all his various sins, but by killing himself he has committed a sin God cannot forgive

2- RGG gradually learns to accept both religion and being gay, and lives happily ever after.

I like the ironic twist of the first one, I think.

Project Probability: Very low
I don't know how to tell a story like that without getting preachy.

A My Little Pony doujin

*silence*

No, I'm serious. I've actually had the idea in my head for quite a while. It would be my own spin on the MLP-verse of the assorted movies, specials and series.

The first story arc would involve a wizrd who abducts unicorns and drains their magic powers. Awesomeness ensues!

Likelihood of my actually doing this: moderate

I've decided to revive this journal a little.

I'm constantly coming up with new comic ideas, but since I never jot them down, I forget. So, here's where I'll store all these ideas.

Just because I put them here doesn't mean I'll actually ever do them though!

Today's Random Comic Idea:

A girl finds a wallet (or purse) while shopping. When she tries to take it to the Lost and Found, she is mistakenly accused of trying to steal it.

And then, somehow, demons are involved.
